Body discovered believed to be a missing person from Florida
A body has been located just outside of Bulloch County, GA in Jenkins County, near the location of where a missing Florida's woman's car was located on Easter. According to Jenkins County Sheriff Robert Oblesby, a body was located off of Big Pine Road on Wednesday night May 15, 2024, in an abandoned home off in the woods. The home was located near where the car of Colleen Paulissen Pool from Citrus, Florida was located. Jenkins County Coroner Henry Young confirmed that her body has been transported to the GBI Crime Lab in Atlanta for positive identification. Coroner Young has notified Pool's family of this discovery. Pool was last reported missing by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on February 24, 2024. She was last seen on February 8, 2024. Pool's grey Honda Civic was discovered abandoned in a wooded area off of Big Pine Road on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office has recently equipped its deputies with Rapid I.D. fingerprint scanners, a cutting-edge tool designed to instantly identify individuals through their fingerprints. These devices have proven invaluable in the field, particularly when suspects provide false names or refuse to identify themselves. The Rapid I.D. scanners work by digitally submitting fingerprints to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database, allowing deputies to quickly determine if a person is wanted for any crimes.
