MILLSBORO, DE - Delaware State Police are investigating a Friday night traffic collision that occurred in Sussex County. On Friday evening, Indian River Volunteer Fire Company responded to a vehicle accident on Bay Farm Road near School Lane in Millsboro, Delaware. The accident was reported as a single vehicle accident, but two vehicles were located at the scene with damage.

Police release name of 57-year-old bicyclist who died after failing to stop at sign
Police have identified the bicyclist who died in a crash near Felton on Friday as 57-year-old Felton resident Robert Spencer Jr. Spencer did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Logan and Willow Grove roads, according to Delaware State Police, and rode into the path of a Chevrolet Tahoe. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the SUV was not injured.

Bicyclist Killed In Felton On Friday
Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a bicyclist that occurred on Friday afternoon in Felton. Officials said on April 26, 2024, at approximately 5:09 p.m., a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling westbound on Willow Grove Road approaching Logan Drive. At the same time, a bicyclist was traveling southbound on Logan Drive, approaching Willow Grove Road. For reasons under investigation, the bicyclist did not stop at the stop sign on Logan Road, entered the westbound lane of Willow Grove Road, and into the path of the Chevrolet. As a result, the Chevrolet struck the bicyclist.
