PHILLIPS — The city of Phillips honored five members of the Phillips Fire Department for 30 or more years of service in a ceremony on April 18. The Wisconsin Builders Association is reporting single-family construction has increased 36% in the first quarter of 2024. Price County has a 40% increase with 14 new home starts from January through March which compares to 10 new starts for the same period in 2023, according to an April 29 press release. MINOCQUA, Wis. (WJFW) - While the mild winter affected many people, some birds are also running into trouble with a surge of illnesses.
