BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - There’s a new opportunity for Vermonters looking to save money while driving electric. Vermont Public Power Supply Authority recently announced its partnership with electrification software company Bellawatt. They’re working to implement a program that would offer special rates to customers with electric vehicles and EV equipment. Similar to programs by Green Mountain Power and Vermont Electric Cooperative, customers could opt out of charging vehicles at peak charging times to prevent grid overload and be awarded with credit from their utility.
