One of the hottest pop culture-inspired string quartets around will come to Akron on Oct. 24 — Vitamin String Quartet. E.J. Thomas Hall is the third stop on the group's U.S. tour "The Music of Taylor Swift, Bridgerton and More," with the concert at 7:30 p.m. The quartet, known for its classical reinterpretations of pop hits, have had their songs featured in the smash-hit Netflix and Shondaland original series "Bridgerton," including the first two seasons plus Part 1 of the third season, whose first four episodes were released May 16.

Cuyahoga Falls has issued a request for qualifications for a public art project in its downtown. The city is seeking a professional artist for a collaborative project that will incorporate a primary historical photo(s) or imagery relevant to local history as the main component of a mural on the Portage Trail bridge underpass. Qualification packets must be submitted by noon on Friday, June 14.
