Clarinda ceremony marks National Police Officer Memorial Week
(Clarinda) -- The Clarinda community paused Wednesday afternoon to honor law enforcement personnel killed in the line of duty. Taps rang out near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Clarinda Cemetery Wednesday as members of the Clarinda Police Department and Page County Sheriff’s Office gathered to participate in a ceremony recognizing National Police Officers Memorial Week. Clarinda Police Chaplain Dr. Robert Keefer delivered an address during the ceremony. Keefer says law enforcement is akin to the rod and staff of a shepherd, keeping their communities safe.
