ST. CHARLES PARISH, La. (WGNO) — The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a 17-year-old wounded in Luling on Saturday, April 20. According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a shooting in the 500 block of Cypress Street. A man, later identified as 50-year-old Blaze Gilyot, was target shooting on the levee when a 17-year-old teen, who was jogging, ran into the path of fire and was shot.
Slidell man dead after driving off Highway 90 near Bridge City, state police say
A Slidell man was killed Tuesday when he drove off U.S. Highway 90 and hit a bridge near Bridge City, according to Louisiana State Police. Xavier Gonzales, 44, was driving east on Highway 90 between Nine Mile Point Road and Seven Oaks Boulevard when he drove is 2023 Chevy Bolt off the left side of the road and collided with the supports of a bridge, police said.
