Dylan Edwards Transfers To Kansas State
It has been a rough couple of weeks for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. Players are transferring out left and right, and the latest to leave is Running Back Dylan Edwards. Edwards was not used enough, as he only saw 76 carries for 321 yards and one touchdown, 36 receptions for 299 yards an four touchdowns, but if you watched him play you could tell he was arguably their best back. The Sophomore has announced he will be transferring to Kansas State and will serve as a huge get for Chris Kleiman.
Dylan Edwards, a former four-star recruit out of Derby, Kansas returns to his home state to play for the Wildcats after spending his Freshman year in Boulder. It doesn’t take a genius to see the immense talent that Edwards has, and I have a feeling Coach Prime is going to realize the errors of his ways by not getting Edwards more involved in the plans for 2024. Edwards may be smaller in stature at 5’9, 170lbs, but he can thump when need be and has burners for days. He has a real shot to see significantly more playing time for the Wildcats, even potentially becoming their feature back by year’s end.
Dylan Edwards is going to be missed in Colorado. I just don’t see how Dallan Hayden is better than Edwards. There doesn’t seem to be a plan in Boulder, and this is likely going to come back and bite Deion Sanders in the you know whatski. If I was a betting man, which I am, I think Edwards could finish with 1,400 all-purpose yards and 10 total touchdowns for Kansas State in 2024. The ceiling is that high for Edwards year one for the Wildcats, and he should only get better. Just hope he isn’t scared of cold weather like his former QB.
