BOSTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – A teen was hurt following a crash in Boston Township Friday night, according to the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a report of a crash on West Grand River Avenue near Mick Road at 10:40 p.m.

An investigation revealed that a 17-year-old boy from Lowell was heading eastbound, potentially speeding, on Grand River Avenue when he passed another vehicle. The teen eventually left the road on the north side and crashed into a tree.

The teen was taken to the hospital to be treated and is said to be in stable condition.

Speed is suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash.

    The investigation is ongoing.
