Boston Bonanza – a charity fishing tournament to benefit Elevate Youth

Calling all Fishermen! Join Boston Bonanza for a charity fishing tournament from May 24th to June 14th featuring prizes for the Best in Class Fish and Most Species Caught. The registration fee is $65 and you will receive an exclusive Captain’s Bag that includes the official measuring tape, a long sleeve fishing shirt, stickers, as well as gear from brands like Costa, Cheeky, Badfish and Postfly. The Captain’s Bag can be picked up at The Kick-Off Party on May 22nd at The Dorchester Yacht Club!

All proceeds from the tournament will go to Elevate Youth. Elevate Youth is an organization that empowers youth from underserved neighborhoods through outdoor experiences. The outdoor experiences aim to provide the kids with a growth in self-confidence, a sense of community, and an appreciation of nature.

There will be five winners – one winner for the All Species category and one Winner for each of the following: best-in-class trout, Striped bass, Bluefish, and Freshwater bass (largemouth or smallmouth).

For the All Species category, the winner is determined by the number of different species caught. In the event of a tie, the total number of inches will be tallied. There’s no preference for the weight given to any species in this category. For the best-in-class category, the longest fish wins!

Qualifying Species List: Black Bass (Largemouth & Smallmouth),Black Sea Bass, Blue Fish, Catfish or Bullheads, Carp, Flounder (Fluke), Haddock, Lake Trout, Pike and Pickerel, Striped Bass, Trout (Rainbow & Brook).

Simply submit a picture for a chance to win. Winners will receive prizes and items from the following brands: Costa (sunglasses), Badfish (boat towels), Postfly (tackle box subscriptions), Public Lands (gift cards), Yeti (TBD), Patagonia (duffels), Howler Bros (Swag), Penn (rod and reel setups), and Oxbow Beer (gift cards). There will also be an awards ceremony held on June 14th at The Dorchester Yacht Club.
