Layden Blocker was one of three former Arkansas basketball players under Eric Musselman to announce a new home for himself Monday.
Blocker is headed to Chicago after committing to DePaul and former Ohio State coach Chris Holtmann. He announced the news in a post on X, formerly Twitter, Monday afternoon.

A former four-star recruit from Little Rock who played his final two years in high school at Sunrise Academy in Kansas, Blocker committed to Arkansas in 2022. He had an inconsistent role with the Razorbacks last season, starting five of 27 games and averaging 3.7 points per game while shooting 40 percent from the field. Blocker entered the transfer portal following Arkansas’ season-ending loss to South Carolina in the SEC Tournament last March.
Blocker joined Devo Davis and Denijay Harris among former Musselman players to announce their commitments to new programs Monday. Davis announced his commitment to Oklahoma State while Harris announced his return to Southern Miss. Harris played three seasons at Southern Miss before transferring to Arkansas in July 2023.

Last week, the NASCAR Cup Series was delayed for three hours until the weather cleared out the track dried in Kansas. It was well worth the wait as NASCAR had the closest finish in Cup Series history. Now, NASCAR looks to avoid the weather in South Carolina.
According to Weather.com, the weather forecast at Darlington Raceway calls for a high of 80° and no chance of rain. This is a little bit different from Saturday’s forecast, which calls for a high of 76° and a 10% chance of rain. However, the forecast for Friday is a different story, with a high of 80° and a 60% chance of rain. This might spell trouble for NASCAR.
The NASCAR Truck Series race is supposed to happen on Friday night, but it currently says rain will be in the forecast until 10 to 11 p.m. ET. Will the Truck Series race on Friday? There could be a postponement to Saturday if Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate. Thankfully, the weather on Saturday and Sunday promotes racing, which is all NASCAR wants at Darlington.

An already strong recruiting class for Rutgers wrestling got another boost with the commitment of Brandon Toranzo this week.
Toranzo is a high-level addition for Rutgers who finished off his high school career. He took third-place in the NJSIAA State Championships at 285 pounds for Nutley High School (Nutley, New Jersey). During his run at the state championships, Toranzo defeated two wrestlers who were ranked above him pre-tournament by NJ Wrestle.
He also won the Region 3 heavyweight championship this season.
Rutgers has five wrestlers in the top 50 in the nation on the FloWrestling Big Board.
