Rain or Shine, Sparta VFW's Memorial Day Parade, Lake Mohawk Ski Hawks Show will be Held Monday
SPARTA, NJ – The Sparta VFW Memorial Day parade, ceremony and barbecue will go on rain or shine. According to VFW Post Commander Pete Litchfield only lightening would stop the parade, which is scheduled to step off at 10 a.m. The parade round will head down East Shore Trail, through White Deer Plaza, up Mohawk Avenue and finish at the Sparta Library.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER A wreath laying ceremony is scheduled immediately following the parade at Dykstra Park. The VFW is hosting a barbecue lunch for the community after the ceremony at the VFW, 66 Main Street. Bloomfield Memorial Day Parade Will Close Broad Street for Hours on Monday
BLOOMFIELD, NJ- whether you are coming to watch the parade, visiting friends or just running errands, be advised that Broad Street in Bloomfield will be closed on Monday, May 27 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the annual Bloomfield Memorial Day Parade. The parade kicks off at 9 a.m. at Broad Street and Bay Avenue and continues down Broad Street to Liberty Street. The Bloomfield Police Department asks that from 7-2 you please plan an alternate route and that all cars must be moved from Broad St. All vehicles that are not moved are subject to being issued a ticket and towed.
