Rohrersville Cornet Band to host spring concert May 19
ROHRERSVILLE — The Rohrersville Cornet Band will be hosting a Spring Concert on Sunday, May 19, at 3 p.m. in its historic 1916 band hall at 4315 Main St., Rohrersville. This event will open the band’s 187th year of providing musical entertainment throughout the tri-state area. As a result of its organization in 1837 by W.C. McCoy, The Rohrersville Band ranks as one of the four longest-surviving community bands in the United States.

A new Vietnamese restaurant and tea shop is reportedly in the works for Loudoun County. It will be called Viet Kitchen & Tea House, according to the landlord. The new eatery is slated to move into the Great Falls Plaza shopping center in Sterling. That’s off Algonkian Parkway at the intersection with Lowes Island Boulevard.
