Bellefonte, Pa. — A woman allegedly attacked her boyfriend after he failed to clean the house as part of his "cheating" punishment.

After police were called to a home in the 100 block of West Linn Street, the caller told 911 that Erica Nicole Spicer had cut herself and left the house in just a t-shirt and underwear, charges say.

When officers arrived, they found 23-year-old Spicer of Boalsburg in a car in the rear of the building with cuts on her arm and leg, Officer Macey Nicole Neideigh said. After being asked to get out of the car, Spicer allegedly drove away.

Neideigh pursued Spicer, who stopped at the intersection of Allegheny and Howard streets, according to the complaint. After taking her car keys, Neideigh saw Spicer’s right hand and leg were bleeding profusely.

Spicer tried to hide the injuries, but EMS was called to the scene to evaluate her, Neideigh said.

Spicer claimed to be having trouble with her boyfriend and said he cheated on her, arrest papers say.

As punishment, her boyfriend was supposed to clean their apartment for a month. When he got home from work on April 15, he didn't start cleaning right away, which prompted the fight, Neideigh said.

At that point, Spicer began throwing plastic plates at the him, according Neideigh. She then physically attacked him, punching and scratching him. Spicer also threw a vase at the victim and allegedly sliced her own leg with a piece of glass.

After calming down, the victim’s mother came to the apartment. This allegedly set Spicer off again as she pushed the woman. The boyfriend told police he put himself between Spicer and his mother to protect her, according to the complaint.

Police were called after Spicer cut herself and left the apartment.

Both victims had scratches and abrasions on their bodies from the assaults, according to Neideigh.

Spicer is being charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment. Spicer posted $5,000 monetary bail this week.
