RECing Crew tests out new Miracle League field in North Augusta
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Back in June 2021, the North Augusta City Council approved plans to adopt a Miracle League Field at Riverview Park. According to RECing Crew founder Pamela Stickler, the field was not supposed to be ready to play on until Fall. It was this past February that the group held a groundbreaking. It was a surprise this past week when she got the call that they could give the turf field a try-out Saturday morning.
RiverDogs Drop Rain-Shortened Opener in Augusta 9-5
North Augusta, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs could not hold a pair of leads, eventually falling to the Augusta GreenJackets by a score of 9-5 in a rain-shortened game on Tuesday afternoon. The game was delayed 61 minutes in the top of the sixth inning, resumed briefly and then called final when heavy rains fell again in the bottom of the seventh.
