Wednesday evening update: It has been a warm and windy day in the CSRA. Temperatures are approaching 80 degrees in some spots. A wind advisory is in effect for our western counties until midnight tonight for non-thunderstorm wind gusts up to 40 mph. A lake wind advisory is in effect for our central and eastern counties, including Richmond, Columbia, and Aiken, through 7 a.m. on Thursday for wind gusts up to 35 mph. A cold front, with a line of showers and storms, will be rolling on through the CSRA this evening. Severe weather is possible north of I-20 with the threat of damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph. Thankfully, the line will weaken after sunset, so areas south of I-20 have a lesser threat of seeing severe weather. Clouds will stick around Thursday with much cooler air behind the front. Morning temperatures will be in the upper 30s, and afternoon highs will climb to near 60 degrees. Our second round of rain will arrive Thursday evening into Friday.
