Short’s actions of driving a vehicle while under the influence of illicit drugs caused a horrific crash and caused life altering injuries to a young Mercer County couple. Based on his actions and his prior criminal record, the Judge did the right thing by sending him to prison. The Sheriff’s Office really did a great job from investigating the scene all the way through obtaining the medical evidence necessary to obtain a conviction in this case. The great police work by our officers is what led to this prison sentence.

In February 2023, Short was found guilty for a car accident that occurred on Gardener Road in the Princeton area of Mercer County on July 10, 2022.
