WVSOM 47th annual commencement

LEWISBURG, WV (WVNS)– The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine held it’s 47th Annual Commencement Ceremony. Medical students celebrated all week and finally walked across the stage.

The class of 2024 showed off all of their hard work for their friends and family. Campus President, James Nemitz congratulates all of the hard-working men and women. He always wants to remind students to take care of themselves.

“Be compassionate and hold onto your compassion. Take care of yourself, take care of your mind, body, spirit. You know, you can’t take care of others unless you take care of yourself,” said Nemitz.

Ira P. Monka delivered the keynote speech for the ceremony. These future doctors of the world will take this next big step into the world. Students will now head off to the residencies to gain more hands-on skills.
