Baseball Game Recap: Taylorville Triumphs
Taylorville had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let the Mattoon Greenwave onto the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday. For Taylorville, this counts as revenge for the 7-2 loss Mattoon walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April.
Softball Game Preview: Mt. Zion Plays at Home
Mt. Zion is 8-0 against Decatur Eisenhower since April of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mt. Zion Braves have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome the Decatur Eisenhower Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Mt. Zion is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.

Taylorville came into Wednesday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs 8-6. This was a revenge contest for Taylorville, as the team was forced to settle for a 6-1 loss when these two played on Wednesday.
