Swingin’ seniors turn out for Alabama Strawberry Festival Senior Day
CULLMAN, Ala. – Alabama Strawberry Festival Senior Day, hosted by the Cullman County Commission on Aging and Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism, took place Thursday, May 2, at the Festhalle. The day was just for seniors, allowing them to cut loose and enjoy fellowship with their peers before the crowds of thousands swooped in and took over in and around the Festhalle and Depot Park Friday and Saturday. Seniors were treated to their own version of the Strawberry Festival, with adult and elder care organizations setting up informational booths and giving away treats and prizes to the guests who stopped by for information...
