Harlan County, a small region in eastern Kentucky with a population of just over 25,000, has produced a variety of well-known individuals. Bailey Signs With Southwest For Basketball

Mount Carmel BMA approves International Property Maintenance Code
The Mount Carmel Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted 7-0 recently to accept the International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) as a mechanism to enforce property violations. The BMA voted at its April 25 meeting to adopt the policy after contracting SafeBuilt to handle property code violations. SafeBuilt requires the adoption of IPMC to build cases.
