BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — A man in Bismarck was arrested this week after police say he was acting violently and slammed into a car.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday at a parking lot on East Main Ave in Bismarck.

A man told police he saw 19-year-old Ashton Engelhardt in the parking lot hitting women in the group he was with.

The man says Engelhardt then walked up to his car and damaged it with a knife.

Police then went to Engelhardt’s home and questioned him. An officer noticed damage to the front and rear side of Engelhardt’s car.

They say Engelhardt failed a sobriety test and was arrested.

Engelhardt was in court this week and posted bond. He’s also charged with reckless endangerment and DUI.

Engelhardt will be back in court next month.
