Mississippi high school senior dies after motorcycle accident just days before graduation

A Mississippi high school senior has died after a motorcycle crash that occurred just days before he was to graduate.

WLOX in Biloxi reports that Damian Aguas was involved in a motorcycle accident on May 12 on Sunkist Country Club Road.

Emergency responders were sent to the scene of a single motorcycle crash in the 2400 block of Sunkist Country Club Road at 1 p.m.

The victim was initially flown to an out-of-area hospital for treatment with life-threatening injuries.

Aguas died on May 17 from the injuries that he sustained in the crash.

Officials with the Biloxi School District posted the following message on Facebook in response to Aguas’ death:

“It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Biloxi High School senior Damian Aguas. By all accounts, Damian’s heart was as big as his personality and he will be missed by so many. Please keep his family, friends, teachers and our Biloxi High School Band in your thoughts and prayers. #BlxIndianNation”
