Weekly Safety Report: Teacher Arrested for Inappropriate Relationship, Man Assaults Officer in Ocean Springs
This week in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, two incidents occurred that raised concerns for the safety of the community. In the first incident, a physics teacher from Ocean Springs High School was arrested for having an inappropriate relationship with a student. He has been charged with sexual battery and has been fired by the school district. The second incident involved an Ocean Springs man who assaulted a police officer after attempting to flee from him. The man was arrested and faces multiple charges including possession of a controlled substance, assault of a police officer, and DUI.
