Wittenberg Man Killed in Shawano County Crash
WITTENBERG, WI (WSAU) — A 74-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash along Highway 153 in the Town of Wittenberg on Tuesday. Officers say a passerby reported a vehicle in the ditch at about 7:00 PM. When officers arrived they found the vehicle had drifted off the road, struck a tree, and continued into the ditch.

SHAWANO, WI- Charles Parham, 41, a former resident of Wausau, is facing indictment on drug-related charges spanning two Northeast Wisconsin tribal communities. Committee postpones permit decision
A decision to grant a conditional use permit for a proposed nonmetallic mine near Iola has been postponed again. The Waupaca County Planning and Zoning Committee held a public hearing Dec. 5 on the proposal by Faulks Brothers Construction Inc. of Waupaca for the mine, which would be held on Iola Car Show grounds in the town of Scandinavia.
