Career advice from a college grad
It seems like a lifetime ago that I was completing an assortment of college applications. Spending hours on college essays, I was glad when the process was over. After I got accepted into the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, it started to settle in that I would be three hours away from the home. Looking back, being that distance from home turned out to be the best thing for me.
Badger athletes talk to high schoolers about balancing athletics with academics
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Four UW-Madison athletes visited Dodgeville High School tonight, to talk to high school athletes about the importance of balancing school with sports. Upland Hills Health partnered with the UW Madison athletic department to put on the event. High school students from around southwestern Wisconsin came to meet the athletes, ask questions, and get advice on what it is like to play a sport in college.
