Texas woman pleads guilty in boyfriend’s 2022 fatal shooting in Lafayette
A Texas woman pleaded guilty to manslaughter Tuesday in the May 2022 shooting death of her boyfriend in Lafayette. Destiny McAfee, 24, of Longview, Texas, pleaded guilty to fatally shooting her boyfriend, 43-year-old Lavar Manuel, on May 28, 2022. McAfee was originally indicted on a charge of second-degree murder by a grand jury in the case.
