Newark man accused of illegal marijuana sales at tobacco shop
A Newark man is accused of illegally selling marijuana out of a tobacco shop, authorities said. The Delaware Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement began investigating after receiving tips about marijuana sales at the Let’s Smoke Shop in Wilmington. Store employee Paveen Movva, 34, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond. While Delaware legalized the possession of marijuana last year, its sale remains illegal, except for licensed medical marijuana dispensaries. The state is developing a license structure for recreational dispensaries, with sales expected to begin early next year. “DATE reminds the public that the unlicensed sale of marijuana remains illegal,” said Arshon Howard, a spokesperson for the agency.

Update: Surviving driver in deadly I-495 crash charged with vehicular homicide
A Middletown man is charged with vehicular homicide and other offenses in connection with a deadly crash on I-495 in the Edgemoor area early Monday morning. Delaware State Police said 31-year-old Cameron Devine struck a postal service truck-tractor from behind, causing it to overturn and tumble down an embankment. 59-year-old David Taylor of Delaware County died at the scene.
