    FBI: Woman wanted in Baton Rouge bank robbery with ties to Lafayette turns self in

    UPDATE, 5/6/24, 10 a.m.: The FBI has announced that Jazmine Johnnie turned herself in to Baton Rouge authorities over the weekend.

    ORIGINAL STORY: BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation is searching for a woman wanted in connection to an October 2023 Baton Rouge bank robbery.

    Federal investigators said Jazmine Johnnie, 22, was accused of robbing a bank on Oct. 10, 2023. The FBI’s wanted notice said, “After entering the bank, she allegedly demanded cash from the tellers while threatening that she had a bomb in her purse and her boyfriend had an AK-47.”

    Johnnie reportedly left the scene in a gray Dodge Challenger.

    Investigators said a federal arrest warrant was issued on Feb. 28, 2024.

    Other aliases used by Johnnie include Jazmine Mondrell Johnnie and Jazmine M. Johnnie. She is described as being five-foot-two, weighing 165 pounds and having a butterfly tattoo on her neck.

    The FBI said she has ties to Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Houston and Huntsville.
