    Easter 2024: Your kids, whole family can have fun at community egg hunts in Baton Rouge

    BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Are you looking to take your kid on an Easter egg hunt? Several events will be held throughout the month of March in Baton Rouge.

    Easter Sunday in 2024 falls on Sunday, March 3. There will be plenty of activities for kids of all ages to enjoy, including taking pictures with and meeting the Easter Bunny, playing a selection of games, listening to live music and competing for some awesome prizes to take home.

    So, decorate your baskets and get ready to take part in a community event in the capital city. Start your adventure to find that golden egg.

    Egg Hunt After Dark

    Egg Hunt After Dark will include fun activities, including a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt, inflatables, game stations, live music, photo ops and a cash bar.

    • When: 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 15.
    • Where : 14024 Highland Road.

    Councilman Darryl Hurst’s 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt

    This-family friendly event will have a variety of activities including free photos with the Easter Bunny, complimentary food, Easter crafts and a live DJ, according to a release.

    • When: 3-5 p.m. Saturday March 16.
    • Where: 3535 Riley Street.

    Surge Entertainment Easter Event

    Surge Entertainment will hold an event on Saturday, March 23. According to the event’s website , there will be an indoor egg hunt, and an opportunity to take home $25 game cards hidden in golden eggs.

    • When: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23.
    • Where: 5555 Burbank Drive.

    Friends & Family Community Day

    The Friends & Family Community Day at the Jordan United Methodist Church will include a variety of activities, including an egg hunt, thrilling games, delicious food and vendor tents.

    • When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23.
    • Where: 4619 Stearnes.

    BREC’s Eggstravaganza

    At BREC’s Eggstravaganza there will be plenty of activities for the kids including an egg hunt, games, face painting, bounce houses, arts and crafts, a petting zoo and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

    • When: 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 23.
    • Where: 7500 Independence Blvd.

    Palm Sunday

    This event will include several fun activities for children, including an egg hunt, face painting, a balloon artist, and a petting zoo.

    • When: 9-10:15 a.m. Sunday, March 24.
    • Where: 763 North Blvd.

    Egg Hunt at University United Methodist Church

    The University United Methodist Church will host its annual egg hunt. According to the event’s website , separate areas will be provided for different age groups.

    • When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 24.
    • Where: 3350 Dalrymple Drive.

    An Old-Fashioned Easter Celebration

    An Old-Fashioned Easter Celebration will be an exciting time for kids of all ages. There will be opportunities to take pictures with the Easter Bunny, egg dyeing, paquing, races and egg hunts throughout the afternoon.

    • When: 1:30-4 p.m. Sunday, March 24.
    • Where: 4560 Essen Lane.

    Highland Elementary Easter Egg Hunt

    Get your baskets ready for the Highland Elementary Easter Egg Hunt on Wednesday, March 27.

    • When: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 27.
    • Where: 280 Sunset Blvd.

    Salvation Easter Egg Hunt

    The Salvation Easter Egg Hunt will be at East Brookstown Park in Baton Rouge. The event’s website states that “sponsorships, donations and volunteers are welcome to join.”

    • When: Noon Saturday, March 30.
    • Where: East Brookstown Park.
