JHS Class of 2024 valedictorian, salutatorian encourage classmates with Taylor Swift lyrics
Jackson High School’s Class of 2024 seniors received their high school diplomas Friday night, May 24, at Red Devil Hill. The JHS Band played “Pomp and Circumstance,” under the direction of John Emerson, and the JHS NJROTC Color Guard presented the colors. Senior Class President Madison Pruitt led the Pledge of Allegiance. The crowd sang the National Anthem along with the JHS Chorus, under the direction of Greta Thomas.

MABLETON – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating a officer involved shooting that occurred during a stole truck call. The GBI is investigating an officer involved shooting in Cobb County, Georgia. The Cobb County Police Department asked the GBI to conduct an independent investigation on May 17, 2024. One man later identified as Clifford Jacoby Beck, age 40, of Griffin, GA, was shot and killed. No officers were injured in this incident.
