The Barnegat Police Department Announces Promotions

BARNEGAT - The Barnegat Township Police Department has undergone a number of changes recently,

The promotions begin with the appointment of new Chief of Police Jason Carroll.  He replaced recently retired Keith Germain.

Carroll's career has spanned over two decades. He has served as a key contributor to departmental training and operational efficiency.  He has a number of certifications, including a Master's Degree in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University,

Carroll introduced the promotion of Lieutenant Parsley to the rank of Captain.

New Captain:

Captain Parsley, has been with the department for nearly two decades and has been a strong leader.

Highlights of his career include leadership roles within the training unit and service with the Ocean County Regional SWAT team. Parsley has completed programs such as the Rutgers University Certified Public Manager program and the NJ State Chiefs of Police Command and Leadership Academy, where he now serves as an instructor.

New Officer:

John Dolan is the latest addition to the department. He comes from the Lakehurst Borough Police Department. Officer Dolan has been recognized for exceptional performance in DWI enforcement. He is the son of recently retired Manchester Township Police Chief Robert Dolan.

Chief Carroll noted:

"We are thrilled to announce these promotions and extend a warm welcome to Officer Dolan," remarked Chief Carroll. "Captain Parsley's dedication and expertise will undoubtedly enrich our department as we continue our mission to serve and protect the community."
