John Harbaugh's first impression of Ravens' second-round pick confirms his initial evaluation

When it comes to the Baltimore Ravens' plan of replenishing the offensive line, second-round draft pick Roger Rosengarten's name is circled and highlighted very brightly.

Rosengarten played two years of high-quality football for Washington at the right tackle position, a spot that became open in Baltimore following the Morgan Moses trade.

Whether or not Rosengarten ends up starting there over veteran Patrick Mekari remains to be seen. What has been seen is Rosengarten's athleticism by head coach John Harbaugh.

"He moves his feet really well, you saw that out here, you see it on tape and then you see it in person," Harbaugh told Clifton Brown of the team's official website . "I hadn't watched him work out. I saw him in person at the (national) championship game a little bit, but that's different. You see him in person out here moving his feet, I'm like, 'OK, he's everything that we thought he would be athletically.' That's a big part of it."

Rosengarten's feet don't lie. He tested like an elite athlete at the NFL Scouting Combine, running a 4.92 40-yard dash and a 4.60 short shuttle at 308 pounds.

That level of quickness combined with his size and production as a pass-blocker doesn't normally fall to tail end of the second round. Rosengarten notably didn't allow a sack during his two-year run as a starter for the Huskies.

Translating all of that to the NFL will allow Rosengarten to continue his starting days, or start his career as one of the more capable swing tackles in the league. It's all dependent on how he continues to progress throughout the offseason.

He's at least starting off on the right foot, literally.
