ROSEDALE, MD—It has been five years since the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Kitera Bishop, and police are still searching for clues.

At around 1 a.m. on May 16, 2019, someone walked behind Kitera Bishop’s residence in the 8800-block of Fontana Lane in Rosedale (21237) and began to fire multiple shots into the family’s TV room. While there were others with Kitera at the time, they survived. Kitera did not. A second victim, a 26-year-old man, also sustained a gunshot wound to his hand. The suspect fled prior to police arriving on the scene.

For Kitera’s father, talking about this tragedy still brings him to the brink of tears. The question that lingers is: why? Detectives assigned to the Baltimore County Homicide and Missing Persons Cold Case Squad also have some unanswered questions.

Anyone with information regarding this case may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000. Metro Crime Stoppers, an organization that is separate from the Baltimore County Police Department and Baltimore County Government, offers rewards for information in connection with felony offenses. The cash reward is awarded if your tip leads to the arrest and charges of a suspect for a felony crime.
