Ogle County man arrested for attempted murder of 2 people
MT MORRIS, Ill. — An Ogle County man is in jail after allegedly attempting to murder two people. According to the Ogle County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to calls of a disturbance at the Mr. Morris Estates Mobile Home Park shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14. Upon arrival, deputies claim that they found 18-year-old Malachi Voight in an "altercation" with two senior citizens who were residents of the household. Voight and the two residents were hospitalized following the incident.

Deputies Investigate Suspicious Vehicle, Driver Arrested on Numerous Charges
Late Monday night. February 26, Ogle County Deputies responded to the 8000 block of North Kilbuck Road in response to the report of a suspicious vehicle. After investigation, 28-year-old Jose M Martinez of Rockford was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license revoked, aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol, and 2 counts of unlawful use of a weapon as a felon. Martinez was also cited for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
