At two-day Saratoga regatta, girls bring back bling
The girls varsity crews of the Bromfield Acton-Boxborough rowing team brought some medals back from the Saratoga Invitational regatta in New York April 27 and 28. Both boys and girls turned in strong finishes at the two-day competition. High winds caused multiple problems, including the cancellation of some races as well as a domino-effect fender bender that scratched the boys’ new racing shell on its maiden voyage.

Bromfield boys and girls track and field teams won their Midland-Wachusett League meets against Gardner at Harvard Park, Thursday, April 25, the girls decisively and the boys in a photo-finish final relay. Their successes were followed by the Central Mass District Relay meet Saturday, April 27, at Gardner in which both teams placed sixth among the 18 participating schools.

Burlington Baseball and Softball Association Opening Day Ceremonies Return
The Burlington Baseball and Softball Association returned to their traditional opening day parade and ceremony after a five year hiatus. Robert Parris is BCAT’s Sports and Features Reporter. Robert first got involved with BCAT in January 2016 as a volunteer news reporter. Throughout the year, as a volunteer, he was busy developing his technical skills at the studio and his ENG skills in the field. In the summer of 2017, Robert joined the team full-time. He quickly settled into his role, providing all of the production support for our news programs, as well as providing weekly sports highlights. Robert also produces a weekly feature for BNEWS, as well as a monthly show called, BNEWS Sports Hub, and BCAT’s Game of the Week.
Binghamton Softball Swept By UMass Lowell In Double Header
The Bearcats would fall in both games of their double header on Friday against UMass Lowell, Binghamton would be edged out 5-4 in game one before falling 6-1 in game two. Binghamton will wrap up their series with UMass Lowell on Saturday with a 1 P.M. first pitch at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
