FORECAST: FIRST WARN THURSDAY as thundershowers, wind gusts move into the metro
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Strong storms will continue to build this morning as we develop low pressure and their respective fronts out west. By 9 a.m. strong storms will form closer to the metro. Severe weather activity is still more likely in our western counties from Atchison County down to Anderson County. However, heavy downpours and wind gusts over 45 mph are still possible with storms impacting the metro by the morning into the afternoon. Gusts up to 35 mph throughout the rest of the day are likely. Temperature starts in the middle 50s with afternoon high temperatures in the lower 60s.
