Police investigate accidental firearm discharge at Derby Line Post Office
DERBY LINE – The Vermont State Police Derby Barracks are investigating an accidental discharge of a firearm that occurred at the Derby Line Post Office on this afternoon. According to the report, troopers arrived on the scene at around 3:15 p.m. and identified the individual involved as Alex Carter, 68, of Morgan.
Newport man charged with unlawful mischief at Northeast Kingdom Human Resources
NEWPORT — A Newport City man was cited for unlawful mischief after damaging property at Northeast Kingdom Human Resources on June 5. St. Johnsbury man arrested on multiple warrants
ST. JOHNSBURY — Vermont State Police arrested a local man Tuesday afternoon on charges including being a fugitive from justice and having an outstanding instate warrant. Christopher Rivers, 35, of St. Johnsbury, was apprehended at a residence on Costa Avenue around 2 p.m. after troopers sought him for two active arrest warrants.

Jason Degreenia, 45, currently incarcerated at Northeastern Correctional Facility, pleaded innocent to felony charges of trespass in an occupied residence and unlawful mischief.
