Newport man faces federal gun charges
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A Newport man is facing federal charges in connection with several guns stolen from a local shop. According to court paperwork, Tucker Jacobs, 27, was arrested last week in violation of a court-ordered curfew. When police searched him, they say they found one of the 10 guns stolen from Wrights Sports Supply on April 15th. They say he also had a photo of numerous guns connected to that incident on his phone.

A man from Jay is due in court Monday in Newport after being arrested for firing a gun in what police describe as a “reckless manner.”.
