Fluor subsidiary nabs $2.4B Navy nuclear contract

The U.S. Navy has awarded a $2.4 billion contract to Fluor Marine Propulsion for work at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, according to an Oct. 23 news release. Fluor Marine Propulsion, a subsidiary of Irving, Texas-based Fluor, received the cost-plus-fixed-fee modification for nuclear propulsion work, according to the release. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology, the systems to power ships.
