COLONIE, NY (WRGB) — A man sustained minor injuries after he was hit while crossing Central Avenue between Northway Mall and Colonie Center Thursday afternoon. According to Colonie Police, the crash occurred around 3:30 PM. The pedestrian was in a crosswalk, but crossing against the red signal. The vehicle had a green light, and the driver could not see the pedestrian. The pedestrian claimed he did not see the vehicle approaching when he crossed.

The State Police in Troop G reported several arrests for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) from November 22 to November 30, 2023. Sakil T. Eason, 40, from Troy, NY, was the first arrest on November 22. He was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint in Wynantskill, NY, and recorded a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 0.20%. Eason's tickets are returnable to the North Greenbush Town Court on December 12, 2023.
