Perhaps you’re detoxing after a long night of celebrating, aiming for an intestinal glow-up, or just thirsty. Either way, there’s a juice bar that’ll keep you from dusting off that barely-used juicer from two birthdays ago. Check out a Cascade Heights spot serving delicious mango and sea moss smoothies with a chill patio, an Old Atlanta classic that introduced a generation to wheatgrass shots, or a creamy cantaloupe and banana smoothie honoring Tupac in the West End.

    THE SPOTS

Wadada Healthy Market & Juice Bar

The Wadada Healthy Market & Juice Bar has a bit of everything: food, body products, and a nice tiny outdoor space that overlooks the comings and goings of the West End. But you’re here for one of the tastiest smoothies in Atlanta, the Maca Veli smoothie—creamy, sweet, and made with banana, cantaloupe, and sea moss.

    MoreLyfe Juice Co

Maybe it’s the giant umbrellas on the outdoor patio, the light-drenched interior, or the eye-catching bright yellow building. We just know that MoreLyfe Juice in Cascade Heights is the kind of spot where you're tempted to kick off your sandals and forget you have a job. Pull up a chair on the patio of this juice bar and cafe, and sip on a delicious MoreJoy, a breezy blend of mango, pineapple, sea moss, and ginger.

    Arden's Garden

We'd be willing to bet that most Atlantans had their first taste of wheatgrass juice from an Arden’s Garden counter. Or they've picked up one of their products from a neighborhood grocery store. The Atlanta juice chain has stores spread throughout the metro, making them an easy-to-find, first-choice option when you want a cold-pressed juice. And their East Point location is our favorite thanks to a huge patio, where we like to sip cucumber lemonade. We also like the slightly sweet TLC featuring turmeric and carrot, or the Green Energy Machine, which mixes cucumbers, celery, apple juice, spinach, kale, and a kick of ginger.

    Tassili’s Raw Reality Café

Yes, you have to try the Dat Ish and Punany kale wraps at Tassili’s, a rawist vegan institution in the West End, but you should absolutely walk out with a juice, too. Try their sweet and tangy Liberation Lemonade with lime juice, lemon juice, agave, and mango. Or for more kick, try the spunky Sorrel with hibiscus flower, lemon, agave, and a powerful punch of ginger. Tassili's consistently delivers great tasting, quality food and beverages, so just know you’ll be met with a line at the counter.

    Kale Me Crazy

Atlanta-born Kale Me Crazy has cemented its reputation as the go-to spot for organic, cold-pressed juices that taste fresh and vibrant, and not like vegetable skins or, well, dirt. We like the semi-sweet 'Kale Yeah'—a blend of spinach, kale, cucumber, lemon, and apple—it's a smart pick if you need an energy boost. And for those who prefer something more traditional, there’s always a sweet orange juice. We enjoy the breezy Inman Park flagship, where we can grab a juice before strolling around to people-watch.

    Ju-C Bar

Located in Krog Street Market, Ju-C Bar is a counter service juice bar that also sells smoothies, wraps, and bowls, making them a great option if you’re hanging out at the food hall and want a light meal. Try the Beet Me Up, which is mildly sweet with carrots, apples, ginger, lime, spinach, and beets. If you’re in the mood for a smoothie instead of juice, the Peach Cobbler isn’t exactly like a peach pie in smoothie form, but it is thick and rich, with peaches, raw honey, bananas, granola, and whey protein.

    Spreading The Health

The no-fuss, eclectic spirit of Old Atlanta lives on at Spreading The Health Juice Bar, a juicery in Southwest Atlanta that offers fresh pressed juice served out of label-free plastic bottles. So if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a quick pick-me-up, lock this location in. We like the charcoal lemonade (no, it does not taste like coal), or the Beetle Juice with beets, carrots, and turmeric, or the tart Zinger with carrots, pineapple, and grapefruit. All the juices have a slightly bitter aftertaste, but it’s not off-putting. It just makes you feel like you're getting all the nutrition in one gulp.

    Juiceheads ATL

Juiceheads ATL in Lindbergh is a top choice when you want to catch up with friends—because sharing messy gossip feels less toxic when you’re swinging in hanging chairs and sipping spirulina smoothies. There’s also a dimly lit adjoining hookah lounge if (and when) the conversation spills over in a new direction. The plant protein in our silky, chocolate-peanut butter-banana smoothie keeps us pretty full. But if you need food to get through a juicy convo, order the mildly spiced chili or hearty lentil burger, which has a nice zing from the pickles.
