Daddy, Am I Your Jailbird? Mariah The Scientist Arrested For Assault In Atlanta

Mariah The Scientist was arrested and subsequently booked on Wednesday (May 1) in Atlanta. TMZ reports, Mariah was taken into custody after a woman identified the singer as her attacker.

The Alleged Victim Details The Altercation

The songwriter — born Mariah Amani Buckles — was charged with simple battery and bonded out the same day.

The alleged victim, Cleopatra Dues, told the Georgia Fulton County police she was physically assaulted by Mariah without warning. Additionally, she requested to press charges. Dues alleges the 26-year-old beat the brakes off of her for no reason. She stated she was not wearing her glasses when she was attacked so she couldn’t identify who the perpetrator was. Cleopatra later reportedly identified Mariah as the assailant.

Dues reported the alleged incident occurred on March 29 at Cavo Kitchen and Cocktail Lounge in Atlanta. She alleges the ‘Bout Mine’ singer ripped her wig from her head and pulled her onto the table and floor. Cleopatra stated this resulted in injuries to her feet and legs. A video began to circulate on social media around the time of the alleged altercation. However, the attacker wasn’t easily identifiable. Dues stated she is looking to Cavo for additional surveillance video. After Mariah finished allegedly laying hands on her, Cleopatra said she phoned 911, stating she felt unsafe.

Rapper Wrongly Identified

As amateur social media sleuths attempted to discover the identity of the woman assaulted, a Staten Island rapper named Cleotrapa was thrown into the mix. She subsequently set the record straight.

“LMFAOOOOOO yall really don’t know my résumé. I will never be on camera fighting anyone! Just register that. I’ve worked with so many brands like stop playing with my name fr,” she tweeted.

Dues contends that she is clueless as to why Mariah Iron Miked her up. She stated she has never interacted with the entertainer or her homies.

Over the past year or so, it’s become trendy to refer to your lover as twin, but we’re sure Young Thug doesn’t want matching prison uniforms.
