Mosinee cancels Farmers Market for 2024 season
MOSINEE, Wis. (WSAW) - Farmers Markets will not be held this summer in Mosinee. The Mosinee Chamber of Commerce listed a number of factors for the decision. They explained in a Facebook post that Highway B/ Main Street will be dug up in front of River Park for a few months of what is normally the Farmer’s Market. Additionally, they cite competition with other local farmers markets and the availability of food trucks and vendors.

Your letters: Renaming Monk Gardens makes Wausau look ‘ridiculous’
The renaming of Monk (Botanical) Gardens is making Wausau look ridiculous to the rest of the state of Wisconsin. Again, the city is wasting money it shouldn’t, at this time. In the rest of the state, they include the donor’s name in the site’s name. They may add the county’s, city’s, or other donors’ names, but they kept the main benefactor’s name in the title.
New dishes, drinks, and dining seating coming to ERA Pancake Café
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - If you’ve been to ERA Pancake Café you know it’s always busy. It’s been a hit since it opened in April of 2022. “We just thought it was something that was missing in Wausau and we noticed other larger areas do have brunch locations so we’re like why don’t we bring some of that interesting more modern stuff to Wausau,” Viki Jashari said, co-owner of ERA Pancake Café.
