Monks took care of the land for decades and recently decided to sell the property due to the decline in the community.
The property is going for $150 million. Here’s a sneak peek of some of the land:
Much of the land looks the same as when the monks arrived.
“The monks have been amazing stewards of the land, using it primarily with an agricultural focus, maintaining irrigated hay fields, grazing cattle, and raising chickens over the years,” said Haley Mirr with Mirr Ranch Group.
There aren’t many photos within the Monastery, as it’s a private place and the monks are still present on the property.
While a group of monks still live there, they plan on relocating sometime during the listing, according to Mirr.
