Firefighter Injured, Family Displaced in Pasco County House Fire
HOLIDAY, FLa.- Two people were injured in a house fire Monday morning in Holiday. One was a Pasco County Firefighter. Firefighters arrived on scene of a working structure fire on Perkin Drive in Holiday around 5AM Monday. According to officials, one firefighter sustained injuries during the blaze and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Port Richey man held in Clearwater hit-and-run
CLEARWATER — Traffic homicide investigators have arrested a Port Richey man in connection with a May 13 hit-and-run crash that fatally injured a man on a scooter. Kris Paterson, 37, was originally charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury. But police said it was expected the Pinellas-Pasco State Attorney’s Office will file upgraded charges against the suspect following the death of the victim.

Trouble Creek Road Project to Cause Delays in New Port Richey
NEW PORT RICHEY, FLa.- A construction alert has been issued for drivers that use Trouble Creek Road between Rowan Road and Weasel Drive in New Port Richey. A pavement rehabilitation project is set to begin May 20, 2024 – and could cause delays. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Work is expected to take about a month to complete.
SR 52 to Suncoast Parkway is now six lanes
LAND O’ LAKES — There are now more lanes in Land O’ Lakes — specifically on State Road 52. As early as May 13, FDOT removed barricades and opened up the expansion of SR 52 from the Suncoast Parkway to east of US 41, measuring approximately one mile total of widening of the road in both directions. The portion now makes SR 52 six lanes all the way from US 41 as it stretches through and into Hudson ending at US 19.
