Village of Delta hires interim administrator amid controversy
DELTA, Ohio — Ed Ciecka, a former Rossford administrator and previously a longtime Lucas County administrator, has been appointed interim administrator of the village of Delta. During a special meeting Wednesday, the five-member village council voted unanimously to appoint Mr. Ciecka. The matter was the only item on the agenda. Mr. Ciecka’s appointment happened after Andy Glenn was fired last week as village administrator after sending a letter to village residents in April. In that letter, he linked a recent increase in water rates with an alleged transfer of $1 million from the village water fund to the general fund by former village employees. The vote followed a brief presentation by Mr. Ciecka, who spoke about his credentials, citing his experience as a former Lucas County and Rossford administrator.
