    BASEBALL

    Kimberly 10, Kaukauna 1

    KAUKAUNA - Sawyer Deering was 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBI as the Papermakers pulled away late for the Fox Valley Association win.

    Kimberly scored twice in the first, three in the fourth, one in the sixth and four in the seventh.

    Kaukauna scored its run in the fifth.

    Ben Kieffer was 4-for-4 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored, while Bryson Vieth was 2-for-4 with two RBI and Brady Koester 2-for-4 for the Papermakers.

    Bron Schaefer paced the Kaukauna attack, going 3-for-3.

    Bryce Mischler picked up the win on the mound, pitching five innings and allowing six hits, one unearned run and one walk while striking out three.

    Kimberly is now 14-2 in the FVA and 18-3 overall, while the Ghosts fall to 9-6 and 11-9.

    Appleton North 4, Appleton West 0

    APPLETON - Ethan Wick pitched a complete game as the Lightning shut out the Terrors.

    Wick allowed five hits and struck out eight batters in the win.

    Brandon Schopf had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for North. William Hoerner had a double and scored a run, and Levi Watts scored two runs.

    Hortonville 3, Fond du Lac 2

    FOND DU LAC - The Polar Bears scored three runs in the first inning and held off the Cardinals, who rallied for one run in each of the final two innings.

    Griffin Jens pitched 5⅔ innings, allowing one run on five hits and four walks to get the win for Hortonville. He struck out three. Braylon Brantner pitched the final 1⅓ innings to get the save.

    Jack Schulze had a pair of hits for Hortonville.

    Alex Demos pitched six innings for Fond du Lac, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk. He struck out nine and took the loss.

    St. Mary Catholic 7, Hilbert 0

    HILBERT - Ethan Plutz allowed three hits and struck out five over four innings in a game called after the top half of the fifth inning in the Zephyrs’ win over the Wolves.

    Joseph Pirillo had a double and drove in two runs for St. Mary Catholic, which broke open the game with a five-run fifth inning.

    Kaelin Vandenwyngard took the loss for Hilbert.

    Chilton 8, Valders 4

    VALDERS - The Tigers erased an early two-run deficit to build a big lead and cruise to the Eastern Wisconsin Conference win.

    Hunter Rolbiecki was 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Rayden Wagner was 2-for-3, including a double, for Chilton. The Tigers’ Bennet Woelfel also drove in a pair of runs.

    Ryan Pierquet picked up the win on the mound, pitching five innings, allowing four hits, three runs (one earned) with three walka and five strikeouts.

    Maddux Wendling powered the Vikings, going 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles.

    With the win, Chilton moves to 10-4 in the EWC and 14-7 overall, while Valders falls to 5-9 and 7-10.

    GIRLS SOCCER

    Appleton North 5, Appleton West 1

    APPLETON - Taylee Jones scored two goals for the Lightning in the win over the Terrors.

    Kalli Drexler and Madi Hacker each added one goal and the Lightning’s fifth goal came off an own goal.

    Brinley Dunsirn had two assists and Drexler had one assist.

    Kimberly 8, Appleton East 1

    KIMBERLY - The Papermakers dominated the Patriots in the first half en route to the win and the Fox Valley Association conference title.

    Senah Hanes had two goals and two assists in the first half as Kimberly built a 6-0 halftime lead. Abby Lom also had two first-half goals and two assists, while Emily McCarthy and Sonja Mau added first-half goals.

    Mau got her second goal of the match in the second half, while Hanes scored the final goal off a Lom corner kick to give Hanes a hat trick and Lom three assists.

    Appleton East got a goal from Maiya Wheaton.

    Kimberly is 8-0 in the FVA and 16-2 overall. Appleton East is 5-3 in the FVA and 10-4-1 overall.

    Oshkosh West 1, Neenah 0

    NEENAH - Taylin Heiman took a cross from Laney Wiebel and scored in the third minute of the match for the only goal in the Wildcats’ win over the Rockets.

    Waupaca 1, Luxemburg-Casco 0

    WAUPACA - The Comets scored the lone goal of the game to earn the victory.

    Goalkeeper Ashley Fameree made eight saves for Luxemburg-Casco.

    SOFTBALL

    Oshkosh West 8, Appleton West 1

    OSHKOSH - The Wildcats plated six runs in the fifth inning to break open a close game and earn the Fox Valley Association win.

    The Wildcats scored single runs in the third and fourth to open the scoring. The Terrors scored their only run in the top of the seventh.

    Emmy Reichenberger paced Oshkosh West with a double and two RBI.

    Four Wildcats pitchers combined on a two-hitter, walking three and striking out 12.

    The win moves Oshkosh West to 14-4 in the FVA and 16-8 overall, while Appleton West falls to 0-18 and 1-20.

    Crivitz 2, St. Mary Catholic 0

    CRIVITZ - The Wolverines scored runs in the first and fourth innings in their win over the Zephyrs.

    Isabelle Danielczak pitched a complete game for Crivitz, allowing one walk and five hits while striking out four to get the win.

    Tayah Werner and Madelyn Welty both had two hits for Crivitz. Kirsten Pusick had a double.

    Adel Schneider and Emily Vogel both had two hits for St. Mary Catholic. Vogel and Sammi Weiss hit doubles.

    Rhiannon Reichenbacher took the loss for the Zephyrs.

    Plymouth 8, Chilton 7

    PLYMOUTH - The Panthers scored four runs over the last three innings to rally from a 7-4 deficit in their win over the Tigers.

    Bri Donner had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs for Plymouth. Shea McMullen added two hits and Caia Lund drove in two runs.

    Notre Dame 15, Little Chute 0

    GREEN BAY - The Tritons made short work of the Mustangs in WIAA Division 2 regional quarterfinal action at Colburn Park, earning the three-inning win.

    Addy Simpson earned the win in the circle, facing the minimum nine batters in three innings, allowing one hit while striking out three.

    Leading the Notre Dame offense were Megan Gelb, who was 2-for-2 with two doubles, two runs scored and four RBI. Ella Gelb was 2-for-2 with four RBI and two runs scored, Madeline Hilts had a two-run homer, Kaia Waldrop was 2-for-2 with an RBI and three runs scored, and Ava Massey was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

    Laine Hietpas tripled to lead Little Chute.
