Letters to the editor: Readers voice support for candidates in local races
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... I totally support the West Linn City Council hiring a hearings officer for the Tannler Drive development. This is a huge project and our part-time city councilors do not have the expertise in land use, permitting, drainage issues, state laws on development, etc. to make an informed decision on their own in this appeal. They also do not have the time or bandwidth to do all of the research and investigation required to make an informed decision. In the end, this project may end up in court so why not get all the expertise possible up front?
