CLEVELAND — A reminder that winter is right around the corner is headed to Northeast Ohio. Short-range models are coming in colder for Friday night into Saturday morning, especially along the Lake Erie snowbelt. Heavy lake-effect bands could bring a wintry mix of rain, snowflakes, graupel, and possibly sleet. Waterspouts are also possible over Lake Erie.

The wind, the rain, the chill... all settling in for the weekend.
CLEVELAND — Wind, falling temps and lake effect showers kick off the weekend. Friday gets colder as it goes. NW winds will gust to around 25 mph while we dodge off-and-on showers. Temps will also head the wrong direction, dropping into the 40s this afternoon. Keep the jacket handy, and don’t count on a dry walk or outdoor chore window lasting all that long.
